Occlusal Rim Plate:
This instrument does not have any component that will rust.
Chemical Sterilization: Use only neutral cleaning agents and disinfectants without chlorine, ammonia, phenol, aldehydes that are suitable for cleaning and disinfecting plastic instruments. Disinfectants must conform to the applicable national regulations for disinfectants (such as FDA approval, CE mark, DGHM/VAH listing).
Autoclave Sterilization: First remove any residual wax from the instrument by heating over a bunsen burner and wiping clean with a paper towel or disposable cloth. Place the rim former by itself in a protective pouch or wrap to prevent any remaining wax on the instrument from contaminating the autoclave or other instruments. Sterilize in the autoclave at 250F for 15-20 minutes at 15 psi.
